| Gethsemane Confirmation Class 2007 |

Please take time to worship with us this Sunday to thank our God for His many blessingsgiven freely to us and our
loved ones. Also we thank God for His continued protection of our troops far from home this day, especially the brave young
men and women serving for the freedom of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Adult Sunday Studies: A Growing Experience.
In addition to the completion of
a Lenten study of The Lutheran Liturgy: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow ; Gethsemane adult class just
wrapped up a study on the sacrament of Holy Baptism featuring a video hosted by Dr. Art Just, Jr., the Dean
of the Chapel at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. This was a fascinating and informative study/discussion connecting the
ancient origins and spiritual significance of the baptismal rite that proves to be just as relevant to salvation in
our postmodern times. Planning ahead, we are looking at further presentations, for just one example, such as the
foundations of ancient archeology and the Holy Bible by Dr. Paul Maier.
